Properties of psilocybin mushrooms

Psilocybe cubensis are psilocybin mushrooms, which are very attractive to mycologists. Their characteristics are an elongated stem and a villiform, naked or hygrophanous cap with a smeary or sticky surface. Widely adhered to the stem are lamellae with a regular trama, which has a blackish-brown coloration. As a rule, its surface is relatively dry, and lacks a visible ring. Some varieties of psilocybe cubensis may change color when cut or crushed. In addition to psilocybin and psilocin, these mushrooms contain many other substances of interest to researchers. The spores of these fungi are usually ellipsoidal or slightly angular in shape, and have a smooth surface with a rostral pore.
