Morning Glory Seeds

Morning Glory seeds have been used for centuries in various meditative practices and traditional rituals. Currently, they are used for horticultural purposes, which means growing and cultivating beautiful flowers. These seeds allow for the cultivation of Ipomoea purpurea, or purple morning glory. This species captivates with its exceptional coloration. The flowers of this plant will serve perfectly as an aesthetic exhibit in the home or garden, enriching and diversifying any environment.

What distinguishes Morning Glory seeds?

Morning Glory seeds can be found in our online store Shroom.it. Purple bindweed is a species of herbaceous plants and belongs to the morning glory family. Ipomoea purpurea is a temporarily naturalized ephemerophyte, which is also an exceptionally beautiful ornamental plant. Besides its aesthetic appearance, its characteristic feature is the content of a natural psychedelic substance - LSA. In Poland, possession of purple bindweed seeds is fully legal, so there are no obstacles to developing a passion for gardening with their use.

Morphology of purple bindweed

Purple bindweed is characterized by flowers up to 4 cm in diameter, which have the shape of a widely open calyx. Their color may vary slightly in individual varieties, but usually has a shade ranging from white through pink, purple, magenta, and blue. Ipomoea purpurea is also characterized by a distinctly climbing stem that reaches a height of up to 3 m and shows a tendency to wrap around supports. The plant also has distinctly petiolate, dark green heart-shaped leaves. In our store, you will also find seeds of other interesting plant species, as well as grow kits with various varieties of psychedelic mushrooms and accessories.

Main applications

Purple bindweed is primarily an exceptionally beautiful ornamental plant. It is successfully used to cover various fences, as well as gazebos and balconies. Cultivation of Ipomoea purpurea from the seeds we offer can be carried out in ordinary garden soil, however, for better growth, it's worth doing it in fertile calcareous soil. The plant also requires constant watering. Purple bindweed grows very well in the sun, but can also grow in partial shade without any problems. Seeds are usually sown at the beginning of March, directly from balcony boxes or pots. It is generally recommended to sow 2-3 seeds at a time, at recommended intervals of 10 cm. During the summer period, it is best to use diluted fertilizers for feeding every 2-3 weeks.

What properties do Morning Glory seeds possess?

Morning Glory seeds are famous not only for their use in terms of ornamental plant cultivation but also for their characteristic psychedelic properties. The substance contained in Ipomoea purpurea is ergine (LSA), which in its pure form also occurs in some mushrooms, truffles, grasses, vines, and other clematis. This alkaloid is chemically D-lysergic acid, which structurally resembles synthetically produced LSD.

History of Ipomoea purpurea

Ergine contained in purple bindweed seeds is an organic chemical compound, classified as a lysergamide. This substance has been used for thousands
