Cambodian Mushrooms

Cambodian mushrooms are one of the varieties of Psilocybe cubensis, also known as the Cuban psilocybe. Due to the presence of a chemical compound called psilocybin, they possess hallucinogenic properties and exhibit psychoactive effects. The Cambodian strain is highly popular among collectors. In Poland, it is legal to possess its spores for observational purposes, provided that the development of fruiting bodies containing psilocybin is not allowed.

What are the characteristics of Cambodian mushrooms?

You can find Cambodian mushrooms in the assortment of our Shroom.it online store, where we offer them in the form of special grow kits for conducting biological micro-observations. In addition to mycelium, they also contain accessories necessary for cultivation. However, it should be remembered that this product is intended for hobbyists only. In some countries, possession of P. cubensis fruiting bodies is legal, but before taking any actions, one must carefully familiarize themselves with all regulations and ordinances of the given country.

Occurrence and development

The Cambodian strain originates from Cambodia and is characterized by a very efficient growth process, making it one of the fastest colonizing types of Psilocybe cubensis. The discoverer of these mushrooms is John Allen, who first collected them in Cambodia while filming psilocybin varieties. The Cambodian strain is coprophilic and most often develops in cattle dung along with Copelandia Cambodginiensis. In the natural environment, it occurs primarily in areas located around the Angkor Wat Temple in Siem Reap, Cambodia. These mushrooms can also grow on compost, grain, or flaxseed and generally prefer high temperatures. Their colonization takes place at around 23-26 degrees Celsius, and the mycelium itself generates a lot of heat. According to users, this strain can potentially induce very intense psychedelic experiences.

Physical properties

The Cubensis strain is characterized by an oval-bell-shaped cap with a slightly conical shape, as well as a long and narrow stem. Their size expands as the mushrooms develop and mature. Like other P. cubensis strains, these mushrooms gain a bumpy veil surface over time. Their color is white-brown, while spore prints are characterized by a dark brown color and are smooth and thick-walled. These mushrooms have attached gills that may slightly deviate from the cap surface. The stem is usually white-yellow in color and relatively dry. In addition to grow kits, you can also find accessories in our store that facilitate the observation of the Cambodian strain.

How do Cambodian mushrooms work?

Cambodian mushrooms are currently very popular, similar to strains like Golden Teacher or B+. They exhibit many similar characteristics, including growth conditions and development on various substrates. People interested in psilocybin mushrooms appreciate this strain for its accessibility, which is why it is often recommended to beginners. The Cambodian grow kits available in our online store contain mature mycelium, which does not contain any alkaloids illegal in Poland and many other countries.

Hallucinogenic properties

The Cambodian strain exhibits psychoactive properties because, in its developed form, it contains substances with hallucinogenic effects. When consumed, they induce a range of characteristic experiences. Like other P
